employment contracts

Whether you’re a new graduate reviewing your first job offer or a practicing veterinarian exploring a new opportunity, your employment contract can shape your future—financially, professionally, and personally. At Roasa Law Group, we help veterinarians across all specialties, including emergency, surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, and more, understand their contracts, negotiate effectively, and move forward with confidence.

Our focus is consultation. We’re here to explain what your contract really means, what’s fair based on industry norms, and where you have room to negotiate.

We advise veterinarians nationwide on employment contracts, compensation structures, restrictive covenants, and negotiation strategy. Our work focuses on contract evaluation, advisory services, and negotiations across the United States, with state-specific guidance provided as needed.

While our attorneys are licensed in Nebraska and Minnesota, we routinely work with veterinarians in all 50 states and collaborate with local counsel when jurisdiction-specific representation is required.

how it works

Once we confirm there’s no conflict of interest, you’ll receive a welcome letter that outlines our consultation process along with our fee schedule. From there, a member of our team will provide a brief questionnaire for you to complete, which includes space to upload your employment contract and any related documents. After we’ve reviewed your materials, we’ll return your contract with detailed, practical comments to help you fully understand the terms ;including compensation structure, scheduling expectations, non-compete clauses, and more. You’ll then have the opportunity to schedule a one-on-one call with either Dr. Lance Roasa or Steve Kellner, where you can walk through the contract in detail and get answers to any questions. We remain available after the call to assist with negotiations and additional revisions until you’re confident and ready to sign.

Thanks for submitting! We will be in contact within one business day.
