Dr. Lance Roasa is a 2008 graduate of Texas A&M where he was the first student to undertake a 4th year business-track, spending the majority of his clinical training in veterinary business and industry. Dr. Roasa has owned multiple veterinary practices and has practiced veterinary medicine in multiple states throughout his career. His practices have ranged from rural mixed animal practice, to busy urban emergency only practices. As a veterinarian, he has been a employee, relief veterinarian, sole-practitioner, and member of partnerships. He has experienced the practice of veterinary medicine from multiple perspectives.
In 2016 He completed a law degree from the University of Nebraska and his training was centered on the law of small business, taxation and the law of veterinary medicine.
Dr. Roasa has the unique opportunity to teach thousands of veterinary students each year, on topics ranging from malpractice to contract negotiation to practice ownership. From this opportunity, Dr. Roasa has firm understanding of the state of the veterinary profession, the job market and the needs of veterinary students.
In 2017 Dr. Roasa co-founded drip.vet with another veterinarian. The goal of drip.vet was to teach and train veterinarians on financial related topics, including student debt hoping to reduce wave of suicides among veterinarians. Drip.vet evolved into a provider of legal and business continuing education, and ultimately became part of the VIN Family in 2021. Dr. Roasa uses the approach of education and teaching with clients, to ensure they understand the agreements they are negotiating and entering. Dr. Roasa is married to Abby, who is also a practicing veterinarian. Together, they have 3 children and a host of dogs, cats, cows, and horses.
Dr. Roasa has a special interest in helping veterinarians maximize their potential through contract negotiation and practice ownership.
Mr. Kellner grew up in Yardley, PA and completed a paralegal education with Mainline Paralegal Institute in Philadelphia in 2004. He has been assisting veterinarians exclusively since, and over his 20+ year career has seen thousands of veterinary employment agreements. This experience provides a firm understanding of what is common, normal and industry standard. Stephen has also worked and managed veterinary practices, so he understands the inner workings of real-life practice. Stephen specializes in legal research as it pertains to the Veterinary field and animal and contract law. Additionally, Stephen has also assisted on the educational side of veterinary medicine since 2003, assisting in the preparation and delivery of such topics as Career Development, Contract Negotiation Practice Management, Law & Ethics, and Animal Law.
Stephen has dedicated his professional career to assisting veterinarians achieve their goals.
Steve is happily married and has 2 teenager. In his (little) free time, Steve enjoys a good Eagles win!
